MONTANA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ANNOUNCES CLOSURES OF I-15/I-90 INTERCHANGE RAMPS
(BUTTE, MONT.) – Today, Friday, July 10, 2020, and through next week, the Montana Department of Transportation and Jim Gilligan Excavating will be closing on and off ramps located in and near the I-15/I-90 Interchange Project outside Butte.
The first ramp to be interrupted will be the westbound on ramp at the Harrison Avenue Exit (Exit 127) this morning.
Additionally, the westbound off and on ramps at the Montana Street Exit (Exit 126) will be closed later this afternoon.
Variable message signs in the area are providing information about alternative routes to travelers’ destinations. More information about the project can be found at: https://www.mdt.mt.gov/pubinvolve/I15I90/.
As always, MDT encourages travelers to stay alert in construction zones for work crews, detours, speed limit changes, and flaggers. Following the Three S’s of Safety and managing speed, space, and stress keeps travelers and MDT teams on the ground safe.
