General big game hunting season kicks off Saturday, October 26 in Montana, and there's a few helpful tips hunters should remember before heading out this season.

The general deer and elk season runs from October 26 through December 1 in Montana.

If you have a Montana hunting license that has faded, you can have them replaced at your regional Fish, Wildlife and Parks office.

After October 24, getting your license replaced at a license provider will cost $5.

Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks will reimburse hunters and anglers who mail in a receipt, as well as their faded license and tags.

Montana FWP has also provided some helpful tips for Montana hunters this season. Check them out below.
