A peaceful town can mean many things to people. It can mean low crime, beautiful scenery, or a place you don't see your neighbors for miles. Everyone has a different definition of the word peaceful.
I think many Montana towns could easily fit the description of being peaceful, but according to one website, we are wrong.
Money Inc. made a list of the 20 Most Peaceful Places to Live in America, and there isn't one Montana town or city on the list. This website had locations like Boise, Idaho, and Boulder, Colorado, but not one place in Montana. That is outrageous.
No disrespect, but how does North Dakota have two peaceful towns? Is it because no one wants to live there, and the land is flatter than a pancake? That's not peaceful. It's depressing. Then again, that's my opinion.
We decided to make our list of the Most Peaceful Towns in Montana because some underrated towns deserve recognition.
None of Montana's large cities, like Bozeman, Billings, or Missoula, will be included because they are not peaceful and can be expensive. These towns are all small in size and have incredible communities. Plus, the scenery will take your breath away.
