ABILENE, Texas (AP) — Police in Texas say a former Montana county attorney shot and wounded her husband.
The Abilene Reporter News reports 47-year-old Jessica Cole-Hodgkinson faces an aggravated assault charge. She is jailed on a $50,000 bond after the shooting Sunday in Abilene.

Police say the man arrived home to discover he was locked out by his wife. He gained entry and found her in a bathroom armed with a handgun.
Police say Cole-Hodgkinson fired several times and struck the man in the abdomen and the shoulder. He was taken to a hospital, where his condition was not immediately clear.
Cole-Hodgkinson resigned as county attorney in Montana's Hill County in July amid allegations she was unprepared to prosecute cases.
She was convicted of contempt of court charges for missing three court hearings in June.
