As a member of the DUI Task force I wanted to pass along this opportunity to hear a great speaker who will be speaking to the Gallatin County DUI Task Force.

Learn about Drugged Driving in Montana when Rebecca Sturdevant presents to the Gallatin County DUI Task Force, April 20th at 6 PM. Sturdevant will discuss impairment from many different drugs as well as the effects of mixing drugs with alcohol.

Sturdevant, MSN, APRN has been practicing nursing since 1981, including work in correctional health care, acute care, home care, family practice, and, since 1996, as an occupational health nurse practitioner.  She has specialized training and expertise in evaluation of impairment and is certified as a substance abuse program administrator.  Because of her passion to stop impaired drivers she is a volunteer with Mothers Against Drunk Driving and has been active as a citizen advocate with the 2011 legislature.

The DUI Task Force is appointed by the County Commissioners to develop and/or fund public education, awareness, and enforcement projects to reduce the number of alcohol related crashes and deaths in Gallatin County.  Since 1982, the Task Force has provided a forum for proactive discussion and a place for professionals in the field to come together to discuss this critical issue, and to design constructive and effective courses of action.  Learn more at www.gallatinduitaskforce.info
