Breakfast is Served! Popular Belgrade Restaurant Plans to Reopen
A Belgrade restaurant is planning to reopen this spring following a fire that forced the business to close last October.
The Center Ice Cafe was damaged after a grease fire broke out in the kitchen area on October 3, 2021. Following the fire, business owner Rhonda Haney Gilbert was worried that she wouldn't be able to support her family. Shortly before the fire, Gilbert had lost her husband to cancer.
The Belgrade community pulled together to help Rhonda and her family in their time of need. Montanans never hesitate to lend a helping hand to those in need. Since the fire, some progress has been made to repair and replace items that were damaged in the fire, but progress has been slow due to supply chain issues.
Now, it seems that there's some light at the end of the tunnel. The Center Ice Cafe plans to reopen soon. The exact date isn't known, but Rhonda tells us that the restaurant could reopen within the next month. Finishing touches are being made, and some inspections are required. Needless to say, we're excited to check to the Center Ice Cafe once it reopens.
In the meantime, Gilbert has started a side business to make ends meet. If you're overwhelmed by all of the little piles of treasure that your dog left in your over the winter, you may want to Scoopy Doo Pooh Removal a call.
