Bozeman Police Identify Man, Woman in Homicide-Suicide Case
On Thursday, Bozeman Police offered up more details on what happened regarding Wednesday's discovery of a deceased man and woman at a Bozeman residence. Below is the information police released on Thursday.
On March 20, 2019, the Bozeman Police Department received a request from a citizen that officers conduct a welfare check on a male, believed to be in Bozeman. After conducting an initial investigation to locate the male, officers ultimately arrived at an address in the 800 block of Longbow Lane. Upon entering the residence, officers located an adult male and an adult female, both deceased from gunshot wounds.
The deceased male has been identified as 31-year-old Sean Raidley. The deceased female has been identified as 29-year-old Carissa Perkins. It appears at this time that Raidley utilized a handgun to shoot Perkins, then himself. There was no one else in the residence at the time, and it is unclear at this point exactly when or why the incident occurred. It does appear that Raidley and Perkins were in a dating relationship, but there is no indication or history of any prior violence. Raidley, from Pennsylvania, and Perkins, from Florida, had moved to Bozeman together within the past few months.
More information regarding the exact circumstances of their deaths may become available as the investigation progresses. The Bozeman Police Department will continue to investigate this case in conjunction with the Gallatin County Coroner’s Office and the Montana State University/Bozeman Police Department Special Victims Unit.
