Bozeman Dinosaur Playground Vandalized
The Bozeman Police are looking your help in identifying the individuals responsible for vandalizing the Dinosaur Playground located in the Gallatin County Regional Park, just off the corner of West Oak and Davis Lane.
Bozeman’s Dinosaur playground has suffered extensive vandalism. Officials said they expected the graffiti was probably painted within the last 24 hours on Friday afternoon.
Most of it is lewd paintings of male genitalia. Much of it is across the park’s hand-painted murals. It could potentially be very costly to remove.
“(Saturday) morning we’ll have to remove the murals and take them to the shop and the artist will have to go back in and essentially repaint them, touch up the areas that were spray painted, ” said Gallatin County Conservation and Parks Director Michael Harris.
Harris asked anyone with knowledge of the vandalism to call law enforcement. The park built entirely by volunteers opened to the public in the summer of 2009.
