It's time to celebrate our country's independence! Here are some local events going on for the Fourth of July:

Festival of the Fourth

The Gallatin Empire Lions Club will again present the Festival of the Fourth with live music at 9 p.m. at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds. The fireworks will start at 10:30pm. Several food trucks are also expected to be a part of the event (Huckin, Bubby Joe's, Chef's Table, Blue Moose BBQ).

XL Country will start with patriotic music on the radio beginning at 10 p.m., so tune in on your way to the fireworks for patriotic music and keep listening on your drive home.

Free Ice Cream Social at the Living History Farm

It's an old-fashioned Fourth of July celebration at the Living History Farm!  There will be live music, historic games and crafts, and of course ice cream.  It's all happening from 2 to 4 p.m. at Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman.

Ennis 4th of July Rodeo Parade

There will be floats, fun, and some good Ennis tradition at the 84th Annual Rodeo Parade  beginning at 10 a.m. on July 4th.  Fireworks will start in Virginia City depending on conditions at dusk around 10 p.m.  Also enjoy the annual car show at the Sportsman's Lodge's lawn.

Harrison 4th of July Celebration

Harrison, Pony, Norris, Summit Valley Volunteer Fire Departements have teamed up for fireworks and a free dinner for the Fourth of July.  Grab some dinner starting at 6 p.m. with burgers, brats and refreshments then enjoy a fireworks display after dark at around 10 p.m.

Race for Independence

Join Reach Inc. for their 12th Annual Race for Independence on July 4th at the Reach Work Center at 322 Gallatin Park Drive in Bozeman.  Get registered for the 10K, 5K or 1K before 8 a.m.  Get signed up here.

Music on Main

Enjoy Tris Munsick and the Innocents on Thursday in downtown Bozeman. Main Street is blocked off from Rouse to Black. Music lasts from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

NRA 4th of July Rodeo

Enjoy rodeo action on Wednesday at 8 p.m. and again on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Ennis Rodeo Grounds.  Details and tickets here.

Livingston Roundup

Catch the 100th year of the Livingston Roundup Wednesday and Thursday at 8 p.m. with fireworks to follow at the Park County Fairgrounds. Details and tickets here.
