There is just something special about Homecoming weekend.

There is a certain energy in the air and people just seem happier. There are all of the traditions like lighting the M, choosing the Homecoming Ambassadors, the pep rally, the parade, and of course, the game.

Well, that kind of depends on who you ask. Most folks give credit to the University of Missouri back in 1911. It seems at the time that the annual Kansas/Missouri game was moving to a new location and to ensure that there would be a crowd, the Athletic Director at the time reached out to the Missouri Alumni and encouraged them to "Come Home".

There was a game, a pep rally, a parade, and a bonfire, and with that started a tradition that we now celebrate all over the country, including right here in Bozeman.

Of course, this weekend was extra special with the Thomas Rhett concert Friday night at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse. The country singer, who has over 18 number-one hits, entertained thousands with a high-energy concert that had fans giving rave reviews.

Something else that was extra special was the fact that the Bobcats won their 16th consecutive game at home. What an amazing accomplishment, right? With only 2 regular season home games left, we're looking to make that 18 consecutive wins at home. Next up for the Bobcats is a road game against Northern Colorado, and then the Cats return home to host Weber State.

Don't forget, you can catch all of the Bobcat Football action, home or away, on the official Bobcat Football station, 100.7 XL Country.

A huge thanks to all the folks that made this year's Homecoming extra special.
