A Foot of Snow Possible for Beartooths by Noon Tuesday

Another springtime Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the Absoroka/Beartooth mountains with a foot (or more) of snow possible by Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service:

WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM SUNDAY TO NOON TUESDAY.

• WHAT...Periods of heavy snow mainly above 8,000 feet. Total snow accumulation of 8 to 15 inches.
• WHERE...Absaroka/Beartooth Mountains.
• WHEN...From this evening through Tuesday morning.
• Back country conditions could be very hazardous.
• Travel on the Beartooth Highway will be affected.
• A Winter Storm Warning means significant amounts of snow, sleet and ice will make travel very hazardous or impossible.
