There will be a 9/11 Remembrance Program on Thursday, Sept. 11 at the Bozeman Public Library. So many died trying to walk down dark stairwells to safety. They will be remembered as well as the first responders who risked their lives to save others.

The program begins at Noon on the lawn of the Bozeman Public Library and will meet inside in the event of rain.

The event will feature readings, poetry and music. During the program we will lift up our unlit candles as a symbol of remembrance. Please bring a candle. Children can draw a picture of candles to bring.

Featured speakers are: Fire Chief Jason Shrauger, Lt. Police Chief Rich McLane, MSU Professor Dr. Franke Wilmer, Veteran Shawn Sheppard, Rev. Denise Rogers and Rev. Danielle Rogers.

Families who lost loved ones on 9/11 are asking that all people participate in an act of service to the community. This year they are asking for donations to the Food Bank.
