Winter Storm Watch for Miles City Through Tuesday Night
More towns in eastern Montana will be feeling the effects of a strong front Monday and Tuesday. Snow and strong winds may create very dangerous travel conditions for the Miles City area.
According to the National Weather Service:
WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH LATE TUESDAY NIGHT.
- ACCUMULATING SNOW AND WIDESPREAD BLOWING SNOW POSSIBLE. TRAVEL COULD BECOME DIFFICULT.
- TIMING - LATE MONDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT.
- SNOW ACCUMULATION - 4 TO 6 INCHES WITH ISOLATED HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE.
- WINDS - NORTHWEST 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS AS HIGH AS 40 MPH POSSIBLE.
- A WINTER STORM WATCH IS ISSUED WHEN SEVERE WINTER WEATHER IS POSSIBLE BUT NOT IMMINENT.
- AT THIS TIME THERE IS A POTENTIAL FOR SIGNIFICANT SNOW. FUTURE DRIVING AND WALKING CONDITIONS MAY BECOME HAZARDOUS.
