Who Would Montanans Pick For The Super Bowl Halftime Show?
It's the biggest game of the year, so it only makes sense that the biggest names in music should perform, right?
Of course, we're talking about the Super Bowl Halftime Show which has become almost as big as the game over the years. Some of my personal favorites over the years include Prince, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, U2, plus Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
What can I say, I love that Old Time Rock-n-Roll.
This year's Half Time Show is a who's who when it comes to Hip Hop. Taking the stage at So-Fi Stadium in Los Angles will be Dr. Dre, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. I know a whole lot of my friends on social media are pretty excited about this year's lineup.
Here's my question, though. How come country music hasn't had a bigger presence? Other than 1994 and then again in 2003, country music hasn't had much of a presence at the Super Bowl. Back in '94, it was Clint Black, Tanya Tucker, Travis Tritt, and The Judds. Then in 2003, the Super Bowl went with more of a country-pop feel when Shania Twain took the Halftime stage.
This leads me to one question. Why haven't they asked Garth Brooks?
Seriously. Listen, I've seen a ton of concerts in my day. I've seen some of the biggest names in music. George Strait, Def Leppard, Reba, Bon Jovi, Kenny Chesney, KISS, and a whole lot of other amazing artists. However, NONE of them put on the show that Garth Brooks puts on. He is head and shoulders above everyone else when it comes to performance...but I digress.
So who do Montanans want to see perform? We asked the question, and here are some of the answers:
- A Clysdale Horse Show
- Kool and the Gang
- Morgan Wallen
- The Jonas Brothers
- Garth Brooks (several people wanted Garth)
- Corb Lund
- Elton John
- Toby Keith
- Jimmy Buffet
- Reba
- George Strait (several people wanted George)
- Brooks and Dunn
- The Eagles
- Metallica
- Foo Fighters
- Shawn Mendes
- Alabama
- Fleetwood Mac
- Neil Diamond
