The Freedom-Loving Montanan Liberals Love to Hate
If you ever wanted to know just how clueless the Left and the mainstream media can be when it comes to life out West, conservation, and wildlife habitat- look no further than the response to a wildlife board created by President Trump. "Trump wildlife board stuffed with trophy hunters." That was the USA Today headline.
The headline itself is absurd, as anyone familiar with conservation and wildlife habitat knows that the greatest conservationists are hunters.
Now, the liberals are freaking out because Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke tapped a fellow hunter, and native Montanan, to serve on a hunting and shooting sports conservation council. And let me tell you, David Spady is the freedom-loving Montanan that the the Left loves to hate. Here's how the Huffington Post describes Spady:
In the last year and a half, Spady has swapped hunting stories with Eric Trump at Trump World Tower in New York City, and posted a photo in November 2016 with then-candidate Donald Trump, dressed in a Trump brand tie and a camouflage “Make America Great Again” hat. He’s appeared in pictures with Donald Trump Jr., whom he called a “kindred hunter,” and Vice President Mike Pence, whom he described as “a man of unwavering character, steadfast loyalty, a great sense of humor and excellent communication skills.”
He and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) are friends. He’s mingled at Montana ski resorts, including the private Yellowstone Club, with Sens. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Steve Daines (R-Mont.). At the White House Christmas party, Spady looked at home with Ivanka Trump, then-Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and former White House press secretary Sean Spicer.
Of course, The Huffington Post left out the most important item in Spady's list of activities: the fact that the Bozeman native was a guest on Montana's most powerful radio talk show- "Montana Talks" with Aaron Flint.
ClashDaily.com sums the story up best with this headline- "LMAO: Snowflakes Melt Over Zinke Choosing A Hunter For Conservation Advice"
Doug Giles added:
Heaven forbid that the Interior Secretary choose someone who isn’t an urban-dwelling, Che-shirt-wearing, vegan, member of Greenpeace.
