Stolen Piece of Iconic Bozeman History Has Been Located
Longtime Bozeman residents may remember the Starlite Drive-In Theatre on N. 7th Avenue. It was a favorite family destination for many years before closing in the early 1990s.
Ole Nelson, the owner of Media Station Design Works in Bozeman, had the original sign on display outside of his business. Last week, Nelson noticed that the 'lite' half of the sign had been stolen.
He immediately filed a police report and posted on social media in hopes of locating the stolen piece of the sign.
We spoke to Nelson on Monday morning, and he gave us a positive update on the story. The missing part of the sign has been located by the Bozeman Police Department, and investigators are currently working on returning the sign to its rightful owner.
