As I headed out of town today for a just a quit trip my mind started to wonder. If I could pick a surrounding town to live in, what one would I pick?

I thought, Butte is kind of cool and prices are much more reasonable, but its been in the news quite a bit lately, which makes me think it will just grow and grow, and I would rather be smaller.

Whitehall was on my mind. I stopped there on my way to Butte one day and it is cute and quite. I liked it. But my mind still went back to the first town I passed through in Montana, almost a year ago, that I thought, "I could live here".

What town am I talking about? Livingston. The people are incredibly kind, they have an adorable main street with shops and cafe's, and you are just a short drive back to Bozeman for shopping, if need be.

The population is small and doesn't seem to be growing like other surrounding towns, and I really like that. Livingston is the kind of town where everyone says hello as you pass by them, and wave as you drive. Not to mention, I am in love with the scenery.

Before you say, "then move there, Bozeman is full", keep in mind that the pass is not favorable in the winter, and who would entertain you in the mornings if I wasn't here. Not anyone as worth while or this cool. Just my personal opinion...and my mother's. But she is a bit bias.
