In the midst of national economic turmoil, Bozeman is still doing pretty well with RightNow.

RightNow, Bozeman's largest commercial employer and only publicly traded company, has recently grown to more than 1,000 employees, a milestone for the company that CEO Greg Gianforte founded in a spare bedroom of his house.

Wednesday, the high-tech, customer-service solutions company reported to Wall Street that its revenue topped $185 million in 2010, a 22 percent increase over last year. Of that, just more than $20 million was profit.

The company also reported a robust fourth-quarter, with $51.4 million in revenue, a 24 percent increase over 2009.

Additionally, 123 new employees were hired during the past year, 58 of those in Bozeman. About half of all of RightNow's employees are in Bozeman.
