In case you haven’t heard, an announcement was released on Monday morning that UM quarterback Gresch Jensen intends to transfer to an as yet unnamed school.

The University of Montana Athletic Department released the following statement from Head Coach Bobby Hauck.

“We think Gresch is a great guy, and hope good things happen for him. We appreciate his efforts at Montana, and we will help him any way we can in the future.”

Jensen threw for 2,531 yards and 20 TDs in 8 games as Montana's starter last fall, and was widely expected to start at quarterback for the 2018 season.

No reason was given for his intention to transfer.

Jensen has been battling during spring camp with UNLV transfer Dalton Sneed for the number one spot at quarterback.

It is not known is Jensen will transfer to another Big Sky Conference school.
