The Bandidos are the third largest outlaw motorcycle gang in the world, with 25 active chapters--22 within the United States. Chapters active in the United States are located in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, New Mexico, South Dakota, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming.
Who Are the Bandidos?
The Bandidos were first formed in Texas in the mid-60s by a group of Vietnam War veterans. The motorcycle club has since expanded with hundreds of chapters all over the world. The Washington Post has referred to the Bandidos as one of the most dangerous in the world. With over 1,000 members, the Bandidos are one of the two largest operating in the U.S.
The Bandidos have been linked to several crimes in Montana, including drug trafficking and firearms sales. In 2005, several members of the Bandidos were arrested in Montana for serious violent offenses.
