Walk into any number of upscale restaurants in Paris these days and you'll likely find, how shall I say this, BUGS on the menu.  I'm not joking here...

Match your glass of wine with palm weevils with beetroot and oil of truffle; water scorpion with preserved peppers and black garlic; or grasshopper with quail's eggs. I can't make this up...

And while yes, insects ARE a quality source of protein and I'm an adventurous eater, I'm no Anthony Bourdain and just might politely pass on the cricket appetizer.
