History buff? Love old Bozeman buildings? Then attend a meeting on May 9th at the Bozeman Public Library about the future of our Northern Pacific Railway Passenger Depot that has fallen into disrepair.

The Northeast Urban Renewal Board, the Bozeman Historic Preservation Advisory Board and the National Trust for Historic Preservation invite railfans and community members to an outreach meeting about the future of Bozeman’s Northern Pacific Passenger Depot. The Depot, at 820 Front Street, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of Bozeman’s Northern Pacific/ Story Mill Historic District.

The meeting will be held at 6pm on Thursday, May 9, 2013 in the Large Community Room of the Bozeman Public Library, 626 East Main Street.

The final report will recommend immediate steps to properly mothball the building to prevent further deterioration. The information will then expand to discuss approaches for rehabilitating the building, suggestions for areas in which restoration is a primary focus and areas in which spaces can be changed in order to accommodate a new use.
