The campaign for Senator Jon Tester reported raising $3 million in the second quarter of 2018. This quarter’s fundraising haul marks the most successful fundraising quarter yet for the liberal democrat senator and brings the campaign’s cash-on-hand to nearly $6.1 million.

Tester received 9,497 contributions from Montanans in the second quarter. Tester's people claim that he has received more than 25 times more contributions from Montanans than Republican Matt Rosendale.

“Now that dark money interest groups and outside billionaires got the candidate they wanted in Matt Rosendale, it is more important than ever that we build on the grassroots support Jon has across the state,” said Christie Roberts, campaign manager for Montanans for Tester. “This quarter’s numbers show that Montanans are not going to let outsiders like the Koch Brothers or Mitch McConnell buy this election. Whether Jon is traveling the state, getting to work in Washington, or on his family farm, Montanans know Jon Tester won’t ever stop defending Big Sky Country.”
