As we first reported back in April of 2018, the Montana Retail Association launched an effort to curb shoplifting that was costing Billings retailers alone millions of dollars a year.

That effort has now expanded across the state, as Brad Griffin with the Montana Retail Association informed us on Montana Talks with Aaron Flint during our live show from Helena.

We also talked about some of the bills the MRA will be closely watching during Montana's Legislative Session. Here's the audio:

In conjunction with the Billings Police Department, Griffin developed the program called the Organized Retail Crime Alliance (ORCA), which is a public-private effort to fight repeat shoplifters.
