Molten Aluminum Plus Fire Ants Equals Awesome Sculpture

Here’s an art project you don’t see too often.

Some enterprising soul decided to pour molten aluminum over a colony of fire ants.

It’s kind of like Chia Sculpture, except this one comes out to weigh nearly 18 pounds with a depth of a foot-and-a-half.

And if you’re an animal lover, don’t fret -- the ants in the colony are bad for the environment and often have their nests exterminated.
