A dispute at the gas pumps at a local convenience store on Father's Day ended with a stabbing incident that sent one man to a local hospital for treatment.

Sergeant Jerry Odlin with the Missoula Police Department said the incident occurred at the Sinclair station at the corner of South Avenue and Grant, across from Southgate Mall.

"At approximately 3:30 this afternoon, Missoula Police officers responded to the report of a disturbance at a convenience store in the 1900 block of South Avenue West," Odlin said. "Officers arrived and determined that a physical altercation had occurred between two males. One male did suffer a stab wound that was non life-threatening. At this point police have made contact with all of the involved parties, and our detectives are in the process of investigating this and speaking to the involved parties. There is no determination of charges at this point. The victim was treated and released from a local hospital."

No names have been released, and no arrests had yet been made as of 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
