Missing Kayaker a Doctor at St. Joseph Medical Center in Polson [AUDIO]

Providence St. Joseph Medical Center has learned that the Polson man kayaking on the south end of Flathead Lake and has been missing since Saturday, July 19, is Robert McDonald, MD, a hospitalist at the medical center. 

Public Information Coordinator with Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, JoAnn Hoven relayed a message from James Kiser, the Chief Executive of St. Joseph Medical Center.

“Rob is a valued member of our medical community and part of our St. Joe’s family. Please keep Rob, his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers," Kiser said. "We are all concerned about the welfare of Dr. McDonald and ask that you please respect the family’s privacy at this time."

Dr. McDonald joined St. Joseph Medical Center in late September 2013.
