Male Pedestrian Killed After Running In Front Of Semi-Truck On I-90 Near Missoula
The Montana Highway Patrol is investigating the death of a male pedestrian on Interstate 90 just after midnight on Friday morning.
A dispatcher with the Highway Patrol said the fatal accident occurred near mile marker 96, between the Reserve Street and Airway Boulevard exits.
"The female driver of the semi noticed an object lying on the highway," the dispatcher said. "The driver steered to the right to avoid hitting the object, however, when the driver got closer to the object, it stood up, and she noticed it was a male. He then looked at the semi and ran in front of it. The semi impacted the pedestrian."
The Highway Patrol said the unidentified male victim was declared dead at the scene, and that neither alcohol nor excessive speed were factors in the crash.
The fatal accident is still under investigation.
