Life Sentence Requested for Jordan Graham After Guilty Plea in Husband’s Death

HELENA, Mont. (AP) — Federal prosecutors are recommending a life sentence for a woman who pleaded guilty to pushing her new husband off a Glacier National Park cliff last year.

Jordan Graham's attorney says that is too harsh and is recommending 10 years in prison.

A sentencing hearing before U.S. District Judge Donald Molloy is set for March 27.

Graham pleaded guilty in December to second-degree murder in the death of her husband of eight days, 25-year-old Cody Johnson.

Johnson's body was found at the bottom of a cliff three days after he was reported missing in July by a friend and co-worker.

The 22-year-old Graham says the Kalispell couple had gone to the park to talk about her unhappiness. She says they argued and she pushed him when he tried to grab her.
