What a Powerful Weekend in Northwest Montana with AFP
What a powerful weekend in Northwest Montana. We seriously had about 40 or 50 people standing in line waiting for us to start our event outside of the Empire Foods grocery store in Libby, Montana.
Let's start with the photo above. In the top photo, that's fellow veteran Fawn Mac in Eureka, Montana with me and Josh Carl from Americans for Prosperity-Montana outside the North Point Bar & Grill. We got to talk with a ton of great people at North Point. Talk about some great American patriots- Eureka's got em.
The below two photos is the stack of fresh baked pastries at the Mustang Bakery in Libby. They had a line of cars wrapped around the alley on Saturday morning to get their pastries and their coffee.
The guy in front of the blue pickup in the photo above is the owner of the Mustang Bakery, Ben. The guy driving the blue pickup told me that Ben is such an incredible baker that he could be a pastry chef in Paris, France and STILL be successful. Ben and his wife owned the Polebridge Mercantile for several years on the edge of Glacier National Park. They started the Mustang Bakery in Red Lodge before moving the bakery to Libby during the 'Rona years.
What a powerful weekend across the board with all the great people we met and the great conversations we had.
The most powerful moment of the weekend doing events across Kalispell, Libby, and Eureka; though, had to be our grocery store event at Empire Foods in Libby. Jesse Ramos is the AFP-Montana state director. He's also a Libby native, and once served as the lone, but popular, conservative on the Missoula City Council.
As we handed out grocery store gift cards to folks, especially some of the people that lined up before our event even started at 11 a.m. Saturday, there were some ladies with tears in their eyes that told us how much the gift cards meant to them. One lady told me she had $3 in her bank account AFTER she cashed her check. NEWSFLASH: Inflation is NOT going down across the country.
Federal government spending-fueled inflation is literally eating peoples' lunch. And that's exactly why we have been travelling the state talking about getting better policies back in place in Washington, D.C.
