I'm already getting several messages from our readers and radio listeners across Montana. Did Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls, Montana help sponsor a drag queen story hour targeting kids?

In case you missed it earlier, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) grilled both Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and General Mark Milley during Congressional hearings earlier in the day. Gaetz, who represents a Florida district that is filled with military service members and veterans, says General Milley has now committed "to ending drag queen story hour events on military bases." This, after Secretary Austin denied they were even happening in the first place.

You can see the video footage below, along with video of Gaetz' appearance on Tucker Carlson's show on Fox News Wednesday night.

In the hearings and on Tucker's show, Gaetz claimed that drag queen story hours targeting kids were taking place at, or with the support of, several military bases- including Malmstrom Air Force Base in Great Falls.

The Daily Wire, a reputable conservative news website, shared this info following the hearing with Austin:

In June 2021, Malmstrom Air Force Base wrote on Facebook, “To celebrate pride, the Mister Sisters will be hosting a Drag Story Time and a Drag Show, June 30. The reading will be held at the Base Library at 2 P.M. and the first 25 children will be gifted goodie-bags. The Drag Show will be held at the Grizzly Bend later that afternoon at 3:41 P.M.”

This story was previously reported by a website called "The Western Journal" back in 2021. (I have also e-mailed a public affairs contact at Malmstrom to get their reaction to the story and will keep you posted if we get a response or track down more info.)
