Art Laffer tells me he never does radio. He does Kudlow's show and that's about it. But since I wanted to talk about the need to reform property taxes here in Montana, he agreed to join me on the show.

This was back right before Christmas, I had the one and only Art Laffer- you know, the guy from the Laffer Curve- join us on the show.

When I was just a kid in junior high school in the 1990s listening to Rush Limbaugh, I read Rush Limbaugh's book, "See, I Told You So." Needless to say, I learned about the Laffer Curve, and boy have we seen it play out time and time again. You cut taxes, you get more revenue- because of the positive impacts on the economy. And besides- it's your money.

Thankfully now that Republicans control the Governor's office and the Legislature they've delivered repeated rounds of income tax relief for Montanans.

But a major problem remains- the property tax system which has been taxing Montanans out of their homes and off of their properties since I was a kid in the 1990s.

I said before the Legislative session here in Montana that there was going to be no way for the Legislature to truly fix the property tax mess. What we the people need is an initiative that will stop taxing you based off of the value of your home.

Art Laffer is now working in states all across the country to fix the property tax mess.
