Former Montana State superstar quarterback Tommy Mellott has officially signed his first contract with the Las Vegas Raiders. Here's how much 'Touchdown Tommy' will be making in the NFL.
Everyone in Montana loves Tommy Mellott. He was born in Butte, and shined on the football field as a Montana State Bobcat. Aside from his incredible athletic ability, Mellott is wildly intelligent, and an all-around great guy.
When Tommy Mellott was selected as the 213th pick in the 6th round of the 2025 NFL draft by the Las Vegas Raiders, fans in Montana were ecstatic.

However, Mellott won't be playing the quarterback position for Vegas. He was drafted as a wide receiver. He will most likely be used on special teams as well.

Mellott will go down in history as one of the best players to dress in blue & gold at Montana State University. During his four seasons at the school, he racked up 33 wins, the second most in program history.
Tommy Mellott Signs Massive New NFL Contract
While fans are sad to see Mellott leave Montana, they're excited to see what comes next for him. In addition to drafting Mellott, the Raiders also picked up Ashton Jeanty from Boise State and Cam Miller from NDSU.
On Thursday, details about Mellott's rookie contract with the Las Vegas Raiders were released.
According to 406 MT Sports, Mellott was signed to a 4-year deal worth $4.374 million, and he will earn an estimated base salary of $850,000 in 2025. He reportedly also received a signing bonus of more than $170,000.
