Well, we've got some good news. A winter storm is forecasted for mid-January and it's expected to bring a good amount of snow and subzero temperatures. According to the National Weather Service, gusty winds are expected early next week ahead of an arctic cold front. Beginning Wednesday, the cold front will move into Montana, and bring snow to several place across western Montana. Snow accumulation at lower elevations will be minimal, but higher elevations could receive a significant amount. Temperatures could reach -30 in north central Montana, and -20 in the southwestern portion of the state.
