Montana is a unique place for many people. Montana has it all if you love the outdoors, wide open spaces, or places you can't find anywhere else. There's a reason why Montana is still one of the fastest-growing states and why many of Montana's airports are seeing record-breaking numbers of travelers.
Many folks come to Montana to check mark bucket list items. That could mean skiing Big Sky Resort, experiencing Yellowstone National Park, or attending their first rodeo.
If you are putting together your bucket list of what to do in Montana, this idea might help.
Love Exploring made a list of The Ultimate American Bucket List. Love Exploring has 63 places in America that are unique, incredible, and ca n't-miss spots in most states. One Montana spot made the list, and it's iconic.
The choice for Montana on The Ultimate American Bucket List is the beautiful Going To The Sun Road in Glacier National Park.
Going To The Sun Road is a winding stretch of highway in Glacier that has impeccable views and unforgettable experiences. The road has become such a popular tourist destination in recent years that you now have to reserve a pass to access the road.
I was lucky enough to experience Going To The Sun Road when I was young, and it is worth the price of admission. The views from the road are breathtaking as you come out of the tunnel.
Even though Montana only had one spot on this list, there are many bucket list spots to experience in Big Sky Country. Montana has several hot springs, Lewis & Clark Caverns, and even Flathead Lake in Montana, which are all bucket list worthy.
We are fortunate to live where most people would kill to live, and we shouldn't take it for granted.
