Costco To Add New Feature Making Sure You’re A Member
Costco has been shaking things up, and this move is wild.
Costco Changes
Costco is a store that has everything.
Costco has groceries, electronics, clothes, and more in bulk year-round. It's a fantastic place to save money if you have a family or a deep freeze. Plus, the food court is the cheapest meal in town.
Costco has been going through some changes lately.
They've remodeled stores, added new features, and will raise their membership fees again.
If you want to shop at Costco, you must have a membership card.
You must show your card when you walk in and scan it to purchase your goods.
Seems simple, right?
Well, some folks have been using other people's membership cards to gain access to Costco, and they've been ignoring it until now.
Scanning Costco Cards
Eat This, Not That reports Costco will install membership card scans at their entrances soon.
This move is to help further crackdown on people using member's cards.
The scans will display your name and picture as you walk in and scan your card. After confirming your identity, you can come in and shop at Costco.
Costco has been slowly adding this technology across America, but it's been showing up on the West Coast first. We should expect Montana to add these scanners by the end of the year.
We know a lot of folks who share Costco membership cards, but we have a tip.
Every membership comes with two possible cardholders. That means you and someone else can go in and pay for a membership together.
Paying for a $65 membership with two people is super affordable.
