New Bozeman Peace Park Honors Legacy of I-Ho Pomeroy
A new memorial park honoring the legacy of longtime Bozeman resident I-Ho Pomeroy. The park is scheduled to open in summer 2026.
I-Ho Pomeroy is one of Bozeman's most recognizable figures and has dedicated much of her time to making the city a better place to live for everyone.
According to Downtown Bozeman, construction on the I-Ho Pomeroy Peace Park began in late 2025. When completed, the park will honor I-Ho's Korean heritage and will serve as a lasting tribute to I-Ho's contributions as a local business owner and community leader. The park will be located at the corner of Mendenhall Street and Black Avenue.
Pomeroy was a member of the Bozeman Sunrise Rotary Club and was involved in various charity and fundraising efforts. She owned I-Ho's Korean Grill and served on the Bozeman City Commission.
I-Ho Pomeroy passed away in spring 2024 following a long battle with cancer. The city of Bozeman wants to ensure that her legacy and generosity are never forgotten.
The park is scheduled to open in August and will be a great place for residents to gather and remember a person who made a huge impact on everyone in Bozeman. She cared deeply about our community and was kind and welcoming to everyone she met. She led by example and embodied the best parts of living here.
I'm happy to hear that her legacy will live on and that locals will have a place to sit down and relax. The park is already taking shape and is open to the public. I stopped by over the weekend and took a few pictures. If you haven't stopped by yourself, you can see what it looks like below.
