
Semi-Truck Explodes After Shooting in Central Montana
Details about a road rage incident in Central Montana, which resulted in a semi-truck bursting into flames, have been released by the Fergus County Sheriff's Office.
According to a press release, a routine drive for a semi-truck driver turned chaotic on 191 South in Central Montana. The incident happened in the early morning hours of Sunday, April 5, between Eddie's Corner and Harlowtown.
Central Montana Dispatch received a 911 call reporting that a vehicle behind the semi was allegedly firing shots at him. Fergus County, Wheatland County, and Judith Basin Sheriff’s Offices quickly responded to the scene.

As law enforcement was en route, the situation escalated. The semi was reported fully engulfed in flames. Fortunately, the occupants of the semi were able to escape to safety in a nearby field. Moore Fire and Hobson Fire departments were immediately dispatched to control the fire and extinguish the flames.
Deputies located a vehicle that matched the description of the alleged shooter shortly after. The driver was ordered out of the vehicle at gunpoint and taken into custody. The incident is currently under investigation, and law enforcement says there is no threat to the public.
Traffic was limited to one lane on 191 South as crews cleaned up the remains of the semi-truck. Details about what led to the incident have not been released.
