Montana Roots Shine in New Carhartt Partnership With Native Designer
A Montana-born designer has partnered with Carhartt for a new collaboration that celebrates the state's Native American heritage. Bethany Yellowtail grew up in southeastern Montana, on the Crow Nation and near the Northern Cheyenne Nation. Her upbringing and connection to the land have always shaped her design philosophy.

I understand my designs to be connected to the people, to the land, to our ancestors, to our future, and I am one of the many parts of our continuum.
From beadwork patterns inspired by her culture to bold textiles that tell stories of identity, her creations are inseparable from Montana’s landscapes and the places she calls home.
While Montana is best known for its mountains and wide-open spaces, the collaboration highlights its growing role as a hub for creativity. Bethany Yellowtail is among a new wave of Montana-born talent bringing the state’s unique voice and culture to a global stage.
Details of the release date and product lineup have not been announced.
Montana has always been more than mountains and prairies for me. It’s the people. From the ranchers to Indigenous creators sharing culture through design. This collaboration reminds me of just how lucky we are to live here.
