What to Expect at the 2026 Manhattan Potato Festival in Montana
Just west of Bozeman on I-90, you'll find the small town of Manhattan, Montana. It's surrounded by potato farms and hosts the Manhattan Potato Festival each year.
The festival is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2026, and they have an awesome lineup of events to mark the occasion.
Things actually kick off a little early on Friday, August 14. You can head over to Manhattan High School at 6:00 p.m. for the Spudfest Kickoff and try out some Watermelon Football, then wander over to the American Legion at 7:00 p.m. for a fun round of BINGO with friends.
On Saturday, August 15, things get started bright and early at 6:00 a.m. with the Firefighter's Breakfast. You will definitely want to get in line early. It runs until the food is gone, and all proceeds help support the Manhattan Volunteer Fire Department. Afterward, make sure to find a spot along Main Street for the Spudfest Parade starting at 11:00 a.m.

Keep an eye out for The MOOSE 94.7 and 100.7 XL Country. They will be handling out over 500 bags of potato chips during the parade thanks to Town & Country Foods.
Once the parade wraps up, you can swing by the Manhattan Senior Center for their famous Baked Spud Fundraiser if you are craving a baked potato.
Spend the rest of the day checking out the great food vendors and all of the classic cars at the Spudfest Car Show at Altenbrand Park near Manhattan Elementary School.
