Bozeman has become one of Montana's best food cities, and new restaurants are opening all the time. You might be surprised to learn that Bozeman is home to one of the most authentic Thai restaurants in the state.

I'm a huge fan of Thai food, and a friend recently told me about Khanom Thai and insisted that I try it, so I did. It's quickly become a local favorite since opening last year. I recently stopped in for lunch and ordered the Pad Kee Mao, and it was everything I'd hoped for.

Whenever I'm talking to people about restaurants in town, Khanom Thai always comes up. If you want to try it for yourself, it's located on the west side of town at33 W. Hailey Springs Rd, near Four Corners.

However, if you live closer to town or the university, here's some exciting news. Khanom Thai is opening a second location. They are moving into the old S. 9th Bistro space at 721 S. 9th Avenue. The new spot is expected to open soon.

Bozeman has Thai staples like Rice Fine Thai Cuisine and Thai Basil, both of which have loyal followings. However, as the city grows, so does the appetite for variety and authenticity.

In a town like Bozeman, restaurants don’t become local favorites because of billboards or hype campaigns. They earn it through word of mouth, consistency, and great service. One good meal turns into a recommendation, and eventually, everyone is talking about it.
