Montana’s YNP Had Their 2nd Highest Visits In Park History
Every year millions of people plan road trips and family vacations. Some make plans to go to the beach or famous amusement parks like Disney World or Six Flags, while others plan trips to National Parks.
Last year alone, National Parks saw a total of 325.5 million visits across 400 National Parks which is a 4%, or a 14 million visitor increase from 2022.
Montana is home to Yellowstone National Park and last year the park saw their 2nd highest numbers ever.
Montana relies on tourist money to continue to grow, to help local businesses, and to continue to be able to adhere to visitors needs.
In 2023 Yellowstone National Park had slightly more than 4.5 million visitors, second only to 2021, the year of COVID which was 4.9 million visitors. Even in 2022, when floods disrupted one of the busiest times of the year, with 8 days of closure and having to close 2 entrances for 3 months, the numbers were still not terrible for YNP with 3.3 million visitors.
If you are planning a trip to Yellowstone National Park and are wanting to avoid some of the busiest times, then plan your trip around June, July, and August as those are the times the park sees the largest increase in visits.
If you go to the Yellowstone National Park's Official website you will be able to plan your trip with ease. From camping, to activities, hiking areas and watching live streaming of the park, YNP is one of the best. This is your chance to make your trip to Yellowstone one of the most memorable trips for not only you, but for your family as well.
