Over the last few years, thousands of folks have moved to Big Sky Country in hopes of living out whatever "Montana" dream they've created in their minds. Now, don't get me wrong, they call it "The Last Best Place" for a reason. It's stunning here. We have beauty beyond belief, however, with that comes a few challenges.
Winters are long and brutal, some locals aren't partially friendly to outsiders (anyone not born in the state), oh, and we have bears. Lots of bears.
Having said all that, if you're still thinking about joining the "Montana Migration" here is something else to think about. It's not a cheap place to live. The popular towns across The Treasure State come with a hefty price, especially when talking about housing. So, what does that mean?

It's one of the reasons the state has seen so many wealthy people relocate here. It's basic economics. Montana is expensive, they have money, so they buy a bunch of property, build a big house, buy a cowboy hat and matching boots, and call it a day. Which, by the way, is frowned upon by the majority of the population and probably not the best way to make new friends.
