Montana Town Makes List For The Best Fall Destinations.
For many Montanans, fall is the best time of year. I consider myself one of those folks, so you can imagine my excitement when I noticed a few leaves on a tree outside my front door were beginning to change.
Cooler temperatures mean sweater weather, tailgating at Bobcat and Griz Football games, plus everything Pumpkin Spice. The season seems to put a smile on a whole lot of faces with different activities taking place across the state. From corn mazes to pumpkin patches, fall in Montana can certainly pack a punch.
Of course, when you think of the best fall destinations, most folks think of states like Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire, and other places in the Northeastern and more Central parts of the country.
However, one Montana town has made the list of The Best Fall Destinations In The Country. The folks over at Cosmopolitan came out with the 36 Best Fall Towns in the United States For Foliage and coming in at number 20 is a popular destination for both locals and tourists.
So which town is it?
While there are many Montana towns that are quite beautiful during the fall season, the town that made the list is West Glacier. One of the gateways to Glacier National Park, West Glacier is not only the only town from Montana that made the list, but it is also one of the few towns from the region that made the list.
While the majority of those visiting the area do so during the summer, Glacier National Park is open all year round and is a perfect place to check out the changing colors and beauty of the fall season here in Montana. So, if you're looking to plan the perfect autumn road trip, West Glacier should probably be on your list.
