
Montana Mountain Town Named Next Big Thing In Real Estate
I remember when I first moved to Montana, back then houses were 300 thousand dollars and I thought that was expensive. Little did I know what was in store.
Now days, a lot in Bozeman can run you that much, and it's just a lot. That doesn't count the actual building of the house. Yes, Bozeman is the "it" town. It's a fast growing city where people not only want to visit, but live. Because of this the cost of property has sky rocketed and most folks are left out in the cold.
However, what if I had a crystal ball and could look into the future?

Well, I don't and I can't, but according to one source, if you're looking for the next big boom town here in Montana, you might want to pack your bags and head up to the Northwestern part of the state.
One of the big draws for people moving to Montana is all of the natural beauty. You have mountains, streams, rivers, lakes, and forests. Plus, the next big boom town isn't that far from Glacier National Park.
The folks over at Land ID came out with a list of called "America's Next Mountain Boom Towns" this Montana town not only made the list, but it ranked first.
Which Montana town is the next big thing?
Columbia Falls has a population of just under 6000 people and is close to both Glacier National Park and Whitefish. The median age range is right around 35 and the median household income is 75k per year.
Taking a quick look at the real estate scene it seems that it's a bit of a mix. There are certainly a fair share of homes priced well above a million, however, it does appear that for an average family home, it is cheaper than Bozeman. It does seem that land is far cheaper than Bozeman. You can get a 5 acre lot there for the same price of a home lot here.
