If you're a fan of college football, Saturday was a bit crazy.

Georgia beat Alabama in the SEC Championship game, but somehow, despite having three losses, Alabama still made the playoffs. Indiana shocked the world, and Ohio State in the Big 10 Championship game, and North Dakota State University lost to Illinois State and is out of the FCS Playoffs.

The big headline from the weekend was the confrontation between Head Coach Brent Vigen and running back Julius Davis. In a video that has been all over social media, the player is seen arguing with his Head Coach and pushing his hands away. Many fans are calling for Davis to either be cut or benched; it seems most of those many fans might be Griz fans. Whatever happens will be handled in-house, as it should be.

For the record, Davis issued an apology seen after the incident. Oh, and while I'm sure you are aware, we are one step closer to Brawl of the Wild, Part 2.

Montana State handled its business at home, beating Yale in what turned out to be a competitive game, and Montana put a beatdown on South Dakota State over in Missoula.

Who and when do the Cats and Griz play next?

Next up for Montana State is Stephen F. Austin, which will come to Bozeman and take on the Cats on Friday night under the lights at 7 pm. Montana will host South Dakota in Missoula at 1:30 pm on Saturday.

This is the quarterfinal round, meaning that if both home teams win, it will be a showdown in Bozeman in the semifinal game between Montana and Montana State to see who advances to Nashville to play in the National Championship Game.

In other words, and not to get ahead of ourselves, if both teams win, we're looking at what would be the biggest Brawl of the Wild ever. The smacktalk has already started between both fanbases, but the coaches and players are no doubt focused on the next game.
