Apparently, Montana has a gang problem.
Now, before we dive into this, let me say a few things upfront. I'm a middle-aged white man who listens to country music and classic rock, tends to vote conservative, and is of the mindset of "you live your life and let me live mine". So, I'm not sure how valid my "street cred" is.
Having said that, I was a little surprised when I came across recent data discussing gangs in Montana.
At first, I kind of thought it was a joke. I mean, gangs in Montana? Really? What type of gangs are we talking about here? Like biker gangs? Street gangs? Our gang with Spanky and Alfalfa?

According to one source, we're talking actual bad guy gangs.

Which Montana towns have the most criminal activity?
City.Fact a social media platform says gang activity is present in Montana, with many towns having more than one gang. Once again, maybe I live a sheltered life and don't spend a whole lot of time on the mean streets of Montana, but this info is a little hard to digest.
Now, don't get me wrong, I know that crime has increased in parts of Montana over the last few years, but is it gang-related? News reports would suggest that it is, at least some of it. Much of the increased crime is either violent or drug-related, and it looks like no town in Big Sky Country is immune.
