While Montana has seen a large amount of folks move to the state over the last few years, the question remains, are these folks cut out for life in Montana?

While life in Montana can mean different things to different people, there is a certain feeling that Montanans can take care of themselves. They know how to live off the land, how to hunt, and do the things it takes to survive.

While there are no doubt a percentage of Montanans that can do all of those things, the truth is, there are also a large portion who cant'. So when a Montana Relator came out with a list of things "The Average Montanan Has Done" it certainly caught our attention.

The folks over at Santos Family Reality posted the list on TikTok and according to the list, the average Montanan has done 9 of the items listed. So, with out further ado, let's list the items:

  • Driven 30 plus minutes to Costco
  • Owned Bear Spray
  • Pulled over to let wildlife cross
  • Driven on black ice
  • Seen -20 below
  • Heated home with wood
  • Worn shorts in 40 degree weather
  • Been snowed in
  • Towed someone out of a ditch
  • Skipped town during tourist season
  • Gone huckleberry picking
  • Attended a rodeo
  • Floated a river
  • Seen the northern lights
  • Driven 100 plus miles a day without thinking twice
  • Seen a grizzly
  • Complained about Californians
  • Secretly loved showing off Montana to visitors
