The Treasure State will see a few retailers say goodbye over the next few months, as it's been announced that retailers such as JOANN's Fabrics and Dollar General will be closing locations here in Montana.
According to one source, as many as 15 thousand locations could close across the United States over the next year as different businesses decide to cut their losses and call it quits.

Now there's news of another popular chain store shutting down multiple locations across the country, and many folks are wondering if Montana will feel the effects. The answer is no, the company has no plans to close Montana locations.

Will Kohl's Close Stores in Montana?
The popular retailer Kohl's has announced it will be closing several locations across the U.S. However, none of the Kohl's in Montana should be affected. Kohl's currently has four locations here in Big Sky Country with stores located in Billings, Bozeman, Kalispell, and Missoula.
According to USA Today, the company will close 27 underperforming locations as soon as this week across 15 states, with the majority of those closings happening in California.
That's not all.
For those who use Kohl's as a place to return Amazon purchases, it looks like many of the Kohl's locations will scrap that service. The reason for the closings? According to USA Today, the company saw over an 8 percent decrease in sales last year and is expected to see a 2 percent decrease this year.
Even with the closures, Kohl's will still operate over 1100 locations across the United States.
