Romance On A Budget? Check Out This Montana Town.
My wife and I were married on Valentine's Day.
Part of that was so I seemed romantic, the other was so that I only had to buy one card when it came to our Anniversary and Valentines. Luckily my wife doesn't mind my "cheapness", in facts she shares it.
I was doing a little research on the cost of the average wedding and it seems that the going rate is right around 34 thousand dollars. Yep, you read that right, 34 grand.

I can't imagine spending that much on a wedding, but like I said, I'm cheap. However, being cheap doesn't mean that you can't still be romantic. In fact, there are several different things you can do right here in Montana that are not only romantic, but won't break the bank if you aren't looking to book a weekend at a 5-Star Montana Resort.
Our friends over at Honeymoon Always came out with a list of some of the most romantic towns and places a few years back and it just so happens that one of those spots is right here in Montana.
So, what's the spot? Big Sky? Whitefish? Nope
What's the most romantic town in Montana?
The town that made the list might come as a bit of a shock, but it's Fort Benton. It seems that a weekend stay in Fort Benton is exactly what you need to get the love flowing.
You could start it off by checking into the Grand Union Hotel. Then maybe a little dinner and drinks, possibly followed by a little hand holding as you stroll down by the Mighty Mo. Oh, and in case you were wondering a tour of the old Fort is certainly worth while as is checking out the different memorials, museums, and historic buildings.

It's certainly worth checking out. Plus, not only will it be romantic, but you'll also save a buck or two.
